CHEMICAL AND BIOMOLECULAR ENGINEERING
FACULTY POSITION
The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking candidates for an open-area, full-time faculty position. Applications for a tenure-track/tenured faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level are welcome, in all areas related to chemical and biomolecular engineering. Faculty members in the department teach undergraduate and graduate level courses and are expected to initiate and sustain a vigorous research program, and provide service to the department, the university and the profession.
An earned Ph.D. in chemical engineering, materials science, chemistry, mechanical engineering, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, applied math, biotechnology, chemical technology, or related field with a distinguished academic record is required. Candidates for associate or full professor rank should have demonstrated evidence of leadership in the field at the national and international level, respectively.
The target starting date is August 16, 2025, but is flexible based on candidate’s needs. For full consideration, applications must be received by 6pm CST on December 2nd, 2024. The budgeted salary range for the position is $115,000 to $130,000 at the Assistant Professor level, $130,000 to $150,000 at the Associate Professor level, and $150,000 to $200,000 at the Full Professor level, for a 9-month service basis.
