General Statement
Adjunct instructors teach courses within a specific discipline to a diverse student population on our main campus in Worcester and/or at additional satellite locations within our service area (i.e., Senior Center, Downtown, and area high schools). Courses may be assigned for days, evenings, or weekends, and responsibilities include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance, and assistance to students. Adjunct faculty will attend a limited number of faculty meetings.
Seeking applicants to teach a variety of courses and oversee experiential learning components within the Hospitality & Recreation Management (HRM) program to include. Courses may be assigned for days, evenings, or weekends, and responsibilities include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance, and assistance to students.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
- Masters' Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or Nutrition (as appropriate) with related HRM industry experience. Interested applicants who may not meet the qualifications as stated above are encouraged to put in writing precisely how their background and experience have prepared them for the responsibilities of this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree.
- Teaching/training experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity in the curriculum as appropriate.
- Ability to teach day, evening, or weekend classes in more than one campus location.
