Academic Scholar - Clinical Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition

The Department of Pediatrics, University at Buffalo (UB) Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Oishei Children’s Hospital, and UBMD Pediatrics is actively recruiting for a full-time pediatric physician in the Division of Gastroenterology and Nutrition. Under the leadership of Dr. Osama Almadhoun, Division Chief, the practice has an entire support group that cares for outpatients and inpatients, with a very active procedural area including endoscopy, capsule endoscopy, and impedance pH probes. This program represents an important strategic component for the division and is one of the few Pediatric Gastroenterology practices in the Western New York area. Responsibilities include the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal, nutritional, hepatic and pancreatic diseases in children from birth through young adulthood in Western New York, the Southern Tier and Northern Pennsylvania. The division is actively involved in the education of both residents and medical students, including lectures and teaching in the inpatient and the outpatient settings. Candidates must have demonstrable experience in clinical medicine with specific expertise in the care of pediatric patients with all GI diagnoses including liver disease. Evidence of productive clinical or basic research will strongly support any candidate for the position. UBMD Pediatrics is one of 18 practice plans within UBMD Physicians’ Group, the single largest medical group in Western New York. We provide premier health care to infants, children, adolescents and adults. In addition to primary care pediatrics, we have 17 pediatric subspecialties. Our physicians make up the academic teaching faculty within the Department of Pediatrics at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Buffalo and at Oishei Children’s Hospital.
