The incumbent is responsible for protecting the university’s computer systems and networks. He/she monitors security breaches, install security software, and develops security policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• Two (2) years’ experience in information security or related field
• Experience in a higher education environment.
• Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods
• Occasional ability to lift, carry and put away items weighing up to 25 pounds
• Normal physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place on the job, taking distance and speed into account
• Normal physical agility, which includes ability to maneuver body while in place
• Normal physical strength to handle routine office materials and tools
• Normal dexterity of hands and fingers
• Normal coordination, including eye-hand, hand-foot
• Normal endurance
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH) are a plus
