We are seeking an experienced academic leader in dental education, who will build upon our established educational foundation and continue the mission of the Department and the College. Additionally, the individual should possess excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, experience in mentoring and leadership, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
The selected individual will have primary responsibilities in the supervision of pre-doctoral dental students. There will also be opportunities for research, course directorship, and faculty dental practice.
Candidates must have earned a DDS/DMD (or equivalent) degree, be eligible for licensure in Illinois, strong commitment to interdisciplinary care and willingness to engage other academic departments. Preferred candidates will have completed a formal training program in prosthodontics or GPR/AEGD program at a CODA accredited institution and must either be a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics or be Board Eligible and plan to complete the certification process. Preferred candidates will have demonstrated experience in teaching, mentoring, research and service. Experience with peer-reviewed publishing and strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience in fostering collaborative relationships between disciplines. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
